About this policy

This policy covers the Geek Matter LLC website. For privacy questions or requests, email maingeek@geek-matter.com.

Information and its use

The website contact form collects your name, email address, message and any project details you choose to provide so we can review and respond to your inquiry. We also keep submission details such as the time, consent and request status. Newsletter sign-up collects your email address, consent, sign-up time and status to record your interest in a future signup invitation; it does not start an active email subscription.

Checkout takes place on Square's own checkout page. Square processes payments; Geek Matter never receives your card numbers.

No newsletter or other marketing emails are being sent yet. Every future newsletter email will include an unsubscribe link. You can also unsubscribe or ask for deletion at any time by emailing maingeek@geek-matter.com.

Providers, cookies and sharing

We use Cloudflare for website hosting, Square for payment processing, Google Workspace for email, and USPS for shipping. We share information with these providers only as needed for those services. We do not sell your personal information or share it for advertising.

The public website uses no visitor cookies, analytics or advertising tracking. A login cookie is used only on the owner's private admin pages.

Form submissions use an IP-derived code and counter to limit repeated requests; this is not used for marketing or browsing history.

The site keeps no visitor logs of its own. Cloudflare keeps short-term technical logs under its own policy. Service providers manage their own records and backups under their policies.

Keeping information

The website deletes inquiry messages and contact details within 30 days after submission. Cleanup runs daily.

Square holds payment and order records under Square's own retention policy. Geek Matter LLC keeps only the minimal sales records tax law requires.

Newsletter sign-up emails are kept until you unsubscribe or ask for deletion. This is the only exception to the website's 30-day retention rule. The daily inquiry cleanup does not delete newsletter sign-ups.

Your privacy requests

You can ask to access, correct or delete personal information we hold by emailing maingeek@geek-matter.com. Geek Matter LLC answers privacy requests within 30 days. We may verify a request using information you have already provided before releasing or changing personal information. Please do not send identity documents or payment card details.

We delete information we control when requested unless we must keep minimal sales records required by law. Records held by Square or another provider remain subject to that provider's policy.

This website is not directed at children under 13. If a child's personal information has been submitted, contact us so we can remove it.

We post policy changes on this page with a new effective date.
